A Perfect Thanksgiving Card

Yesterday Sarah gave me this Thanksgiving Card..A perfect special gift..The reason why it is perfect and special is because I know that Sarah meant exactly what she said in this beautiful card.
Sarah I like making you laugh..it makes Grandma happy to hear your laughter.

I can not believe that the last posting I did was in May!!..but that is when the season started and there is so little time to work on my blogs..
So much has happen from may till now..and now it is almost Thanksgiving day..Yummmm I can't wait..Don't tell anyone my grandchildren..but I miss making the meals..I remember years paste when I did..seems like sooo long ago...
When we lived in Toledo I made the Thanksgiving dinner..many times the family would come up to our home and have Thanksgiving dinner and even when we moved back to Norwalk
I never bought pies I always made them from...(scratch)..lol..I loved putting together the Holidays..making things, cooking and backing even making cheese balls Now lactose intolerant (LOL) ..there was even a few times I made homemade bread..and doughnuts..Shame on me..I have said many times.. that I would make doughnuts..and have not yet gotten to it...hummm if you can keep a little secret maybe I can try again this year...
making homemade doughnuts is so much fun..(or at least it used to be)..lol


Christmas eve used to be at our home years back...that was exciting..decorating...listening to music..(Stattler Bros)..eating goodies while we were decorating...
When you get older things change..but you still miss all the excitement and laughter..through the Holidays...
I am Thankful for those years of remembering and I am thankful for these years of my children doing those same things with you my grandchildren...

New Blog

Hi this is a new blog..I guess I wanted to do something special..something for the Grandchildren
in my life..I guess I'm always trying to do something to interest the grandchildren and at times that is very difficult to do..they all have different interest..I'm always trying to share something with them and at times it may not sound exciting to them even though it may be exciting for me.
I think most Grandparents try hard to be good Grandparents..we try to be better at grandparenting than we were at parenting..Maybe some of us try to hard...(if that is possible)

I wished I had more time with them..and at times it seems like it is totaly impossible for any time.
I see much creativity in many of the grandchildren and wish I had time with them to help be a part of molding that into them...

I love my family and miss many of them and probley try to hard at times to hold onto what is left...
I think family is very important and should not be taken lightly...something that you just can't get back and that is lost time...

I hope to share here things that the grandchildren have shared with me..have drawen for me..pictures that were taken.. ..plus I hope that they will want to share here as well...
